It all started with a blank wall, and the desire to finally feel at home. During the pandemic, like so many others, we set out to redesign our apartment, the place where we suddenly had to spend every hour of the day.
We browsed countless websites, Instagram, Pinterest. Then, we carefully selected posters and frames, and imagined how our living room would be transformed. But when everything arrived, nothing quite fit. The sizes were off, the layout felt forced, and the excitement quickly turned into frustration.
Standing in front of that wall, one with no personality, we asked ourselves :

Why isn't there an easy way to preview how art will look in your actual space before buying it?

That question sparked an idea. And that idea grew into decorar.space.

We're Diego Millan, an interactive experience developer specializing in virtual and augmented reality, and Sinddy Carreño, a psychologist turned project manager.
We're passionate about home styling, design, and creating purposeful solutions through technology. Together, we turned a personal frustration into a meaningful tool.

At first stage, we created this augmented reality platform to allow artists, designers, and art lovers preview artworks in their real environments, at scale, and in real time with a seamless web experience with no fastidious app downloads. But as we kept developing, we discovered something more. This tool wasn’t just useful for individual artworks. It had huge potential for interior decoration and mural artists too.

With this new vision, our mission today goes beyond technology. We envision a global platform where artists, interior designers, and everyday users could visualize different types of decorative works directly on-site. A tool that helps plan, refine, and present ideas long before the first purchase or brushstroke.

Today, we’re just getting started. Every line of code, every user conversation, and every test brings us closer to a future where every space truly feels like it belongs and tells a story, your story.
